Check On Your Loved Ones


We all get stressed sometimes. Whether it's because of school, work, relationships or family, life can rain down on you and make you feel like shit. It's easy to think that you're the only one with problems but it's so very important to check on people.

I've heard so many sad stories about people that are depressed or committed suicide whose families have said they had no idea. That the person "seemed" happy and always had a smile on their faces. Sadly, it's usually the people that look the happiest that are facing the biggest problems. It's extremely important to check in on your loved ones once in awhile to just ask them how they're doing. Most people will say everything is fine but explain to them that if there is anything they need to vent about you will be there to lend an ear. This can make all the difference. Just knowing that a person cares enough to ask how you are can open the floodgates and unleash all of the burdens on their mind. Give a person your full attention with a phone call or having a dinner date. Grab a coffee on your lunch breaks or have a movie night in. These moments have helped me so much throughout my life and I know I wouldn't be where I am today without shoulders to lean on.

Text your best friend. Call your parents. Stop by your grandparent's house. Just reach out.
