Rainy Day Chronicles

After a week of 90 degrees and suffocating humidity, we get a break with an entire week of summer storms. I would say I'm disappointed but it's a nice break. I could do without the extensive traffic but worse things could happen. I'm penning this post on a rainy Sunday to boop's warm fluff next to me, BB sleeping soundly, a good movie and the smell of freshly baked brownies. It's been a good day.

I had plans to see my sister, Ellen, on Sunday but she came down with a bad cold with the back and forth weather so we rescheduled for next weekend. I'm thinking some well deserved Pho is in order. I don't care what the temperature it is outside, Pho is always a good idea.

Since my only plan was canceled, I spent the morning doing what I do best - sleep. I knew in the back of my mind that I wanted to get these blog posts drafted and schedule IG posts but I honestly wasn't feeling it. I wanted to take the day as it came and do what I wanted. Sometimes it's ok to wind down and do absolutely nothing.

By the time you read this post, it'll be Wednesday and I'll be in class. This teacher shoves as much as possible into this 6 hour class so I'll be doing my best to stay awake. It'll also be the day my job submits an important proposal so everyone will be able to breathe again. I'm thankful because it means we won't have as many last minute things to do.

During inevitable lulls, I want to keep practicing my drawing skills. I can definitely see a difference but still a long way to go.

I hope everyone is staying dry and finishing the week strong! 2 more days and we'll be back to our weekend.
