I’m happy to have finally made it to another weekend but Saturdays are my favorites because it’s the one day of the week where I can be home all alone. BB and his family all work on Saturdays so I have the time to relax and do anything I want.
All of us love a good restaurant so I chose Clyde’s in Columbia for brunch. BB and I have been there a few times and knew the food was delicious so I knew the girls would love it. They didn’t disappoint.
Lately it seems that almost every week the US has a tragedy or scary event happen. It’s almost to the point where we have become numb to all of the mess #45 has created or the feeling of fear slowly increases.
Like many of us, sometimes I wake up for work and all I can think is about getting off and going back to bed. Sometimes this is a normal feeling of never wanting to leave my bed but other times I feel like I just need to take a day to refresh myself.
After a week of 90 degrees and suffocating humidity, we get a break with an entire week of summer storms. I would say I'm disappointed but it's a nice break. I could do without the extensive traffic but worse things could happen.
It's almost that time of year where a cute bomber jacket or hoodie is all you need. Flowy summer dresses and booty shorts are great but a cute scarf, over-sized sweater and a suede pair of booties is where it's at.
We've officially reached the middle of August which means there's only a week and a half before school begins. The summer flew by but I want to make sure that I make the most out of not having yet another responsibility.
If you're in the US, you're probably celebrating Independence Day by cooking out, lounging by the pool or beach, and watching fireworks. I'll be doing all of these things today on this wonderful day off but personally, I won't be celebrating this country.
Why is it that whenever you're scrolling through social media and see someone's accomplishment, there may be a twinge of jealousy? You're happy for that person, but you can't help but ask yourself why you haven't accomplished any of your goals yet?
